Lawyer Referral Consultants

Individuals acting as lawyer referral consultants must register with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection (Utah Code § 13-68-201). All documents and information submitted must be in the name of the individual registering as a lawyer referral consultant and not in the name of a corporation, limited liability company, or other entity.

A person may not engage in an activity of a lawyer referral consultant for compensation unless the person is registered with the Division under §13-68-201(1)(a). For questions, please review the "Frequently Asked Questions" tab.
