Earned Wage Access Services

Beginning May 20th, 2025, the Division of Consumer Protection will begin accepting applications for Earned Wage Access Services.

However, Earned wage Access Service Providers will not be required to register until October 6th, 2025. 

Important Instructions

Businesses acting as Earned Wage Access Services must register with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection (Utah Code §13-78).  These are businesses that allow access to earned but unpaid income before scheduled paydays. For information regarding the requirements for businesses that meet the definition of an Earned Wage Access Service please refer to HB0279.

How to set up your UtahID account in two steps:

Step 1: Create a UtahID Account

  • Go to the UtahID website: https://idhelp.utah.gov/
  • Click on "Account Creation"
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to create your username/email and password

Step 2: Link your UtahID to your License

  • Log out of the UtahID website.
  • Go to the Online Management System: https://utahdoc.mylicenseone.com/
  • Log in using your new UtahID username/email and password.
  • Locate the "Existing License/Registration Holders" section.
  • Your license may already be listed here.
  • If not, enter your license number and registration number to search for it.
  • Your registration number is located on your renewal notice.
