Effective May 1, 2024, charitable organizations are no longer required to file with the Division a notice of a charitable sales promotion because this requirement was repealed in the 2024 legislative session. (Utah Code § 13-22-22)
Effective May 1, 2024, a professional fund raiser is required to register a fundraising campaign, prior to the commencement of the campaign. And, no later than 90 days after the event has ended, to report specific information to the Division. (Utah Code § 13-22-24)
Before any person or entity can act as a professional fund raiser or professional fund raising consultant, whether or not representing a charitable organization, that person or entity must file an application for registration from the division as required by the Charitable Solicitations Act.
